It Happened Near a Lake
BEGINNING
This story
talks about Mr Beaseley and his wife Maria. They are an old couple. He works in
a shop every day but he never made much money. He found a little happiness when
he opened the newspaper. And on Fridays he enjoyed more than the other days
because he received his copy of a magazine called “Scientific Discoveries”
MIDDLE
One morning
the man received a long envelope. The letter said that someone has died and
left him four hundred thousand dollars. His wife dreamed whit a house in Miami
but he wants to travel and see other places. His wife was not happy whit his
plan but she will come whit him.
One day Mr
Beaseley met a little Portuguese doctor. They were talking happily together.
The Doctor talks about monsters in the River Amazon. And Mr Beaseley was terrible
excited. He decided to prepare for the trip immediately. His wife was no
pleased. And she told her husband that was no monster in the lake. She never
trusts in the little doctor and she think that the doctor wants to rob them.
ENDING
She talks
whit her husband and told him that she wants to leave him. Mr Beaseley don’t
will stop her but he never will come whit her.
She got up early the next morning and walked angrily towards some trees.
And she looked footprint on the sand. Her only feeling was anger of her
husband’s success. So she brushed all the marks until the lake. At that moment
there was a sound in the water behind her and large teeth closed to her. She
was pulled under the water by the monster. A short time later Mr Beaseley awoke
and saw that his wife was absent. He looks around for his wife, but he could
see nothing. He thought that his wife left him. Mr Beaseley back whit his new
friend to talk about travelled together.
